We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Product Design and Technology Technician to join our team.

**The Role**:
**The Average Day**:

- Provide technical assistance to students regarding materials, techniques and art/design processes across various workshops
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to OH&S regulations and ensuring compliance through OH&S datasheets
- Conduct regular safety audits
- Set up and maintain equipment, tools and apparatus used in workshops
- Source and purchase materials within budget
- Responsible waste management
- Provide support for student exhibitions and showcases
- Ad hoc administrative duties

**The Person**:
To be successful in this position, you will have:

- Previous experience in a technical support role within a design or educational setting is desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of the safe operation of workshop machinery including sewing machines, overlockers, CAD/CNC routers, laser cutters, and 3D printing technology
- Knowledge and understanding of OH&S regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional time-management and problem-solving abilities

A valid Employee Working with Children’s Check is a requirement of employment in this position.
