Financial Analyst - 6-month contract

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing business located on the outskirts of the CBD. They are a dynamic and exciting organisation, looking to appoint a Financial Analyst with M&A experience to join their finance team.

**Your new role**

Working on the strategy team, you will work closely with the head of strategy and the CFO. Your role will be to provide support and financial analysis of all future M&A activity. Duties will include:

- Building robust financial models to analyse revenue projections, costs, valuations and pricing;
- Be an integral member of cross-functional due diligence teams looking at financial, corporate and operational processes;
- Provide support for comprehensive competitor analysis with a view to identifying potential acquisition targets;
- Identify and work to mitigate potential risks associated with any M&A transactions; and
- Work on ad-hoc models to support investment decisions and recommendations.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- CA, CPA or CFA qualified with a clear background in providing financial support and analysis to M&A transactions;
- Key to success will be possessing bulletproof financial modelling skills (building complex valuation models, scenario models, revenue models etc);
- It goes without saying you will possess exceptional attention to detail, but we also want someone who will proactively identify and then deep dive and investigate any anomalies that arise; and
- You will possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills and be confident in presenting information at the highest levels of the organisation.
