As a part of this vision, we are searching for a Plant Manager Metro who will be accountable for business performance of UU's major Resource Recovery Centres (RRCs); being Luggage Point and Oxley Creek, including 24/7 control room operations across these sites. **Role Details**: You will be accountable for RRC inputs and outputs including productivity, quality, biosolids, nutrients, energy and delivery of commercial and non-commercial products and services. For these facilities, this position will be the Site Safety Manager and will meet obligations required under the Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Act 2004. You will be the owner of local Operational plans and workforce plans and will contribute to the design of and delivery of RRs Department Team Plan and operational strategies. **Position Accountabilities**: - You will contribute to the design of and take responsibility for managing accountable RRC budgets, so they align with department strategy. - Implement UUs development framework for your team to build own and direct reports capabilities. Provide informal coaching to others throughout the department in area of expertise. - Manage commercial results of a large, complex RRC including; product line/s and trade-off decisions that balance short and longer-term operational and business objectives. - Be accountable for the safe operations of gas systems within the RRC, including the operation, maintenance, protection and improvement of gas train equipment. - This role may be the nominated "Site Safety Manager" on behalf of Urban Utilities in accordance with the Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Act 2004. - Ensure that business activities and individuals within the area of responsibility adhere to UUs HS&E policies, procedures and mandatory instructions; to safeguard the environment, protect the wellbeing of individuals and minimize business risk. - Communicate the actions needed to implement the RRs strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organisation's mission, vision and values; - Ensure that business activities within the area of responsibility comply with relevant external regulatory and/or codes of practice, with internal policies and procedures to minimize business risk and to protect the reputation of the organization. - Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these **What are we looking for?** - Significant demonstrable operational or industry experience is a key requirement, with degree qualifications considered a nice to have. - Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job-related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level. - Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers. - Understanding of comprehensive knowledge and skills to act independently while guiding and training others on identifying and diagnosing operational problems and developing engineering solutions to resolve those issues. - Driven to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. - High-level understanding of the business environment and objectives to develop solutions without supervision, while also providing technical assistance when necessary. **How To Apply** Come and join an organisation that is focused on growing a constructive and innovative culture and supporting you to make a positive difference in our customers' lives.
