The Faculty of Health is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching, learning, creating and social development and fostering cutting-edge research and discovery. The School of Medicine places high emphasis on research that makes a difference and is solution-led. We work closely with industry partners and the government to put findings into practice.

The Associate Lecturer will support course teams within the School of Medicine to guide self-directed learning activities for students in group settings. The incumbent will draw on their disciplinary practice knowledge to engage in high-quality education and engagement and enhance the student learning experience of the school.

This position is suited to a person with an excellent record and passion for scholarly learning and teaching and a keen interest in exploring and building on new areas of education development and contribution to community engagement through teaching and employability.

The incumbent will contribute to strengthening existing partnerships and exploring new collaborations with external stakeholders, with the aim to improve teaching, learning, and research outcomes for the University

**The incumbent will focus on teaching and learning and associated service tasks**.

**To be successful, you’ll have**:

- A post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline or a combination of qualification and experience.
- Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to a collegial work environment.
- Demonstrated capacity and passion for teaching and facilitation of student learning.
- Experience in teaching adult learners and understanding their respective needs in learning environments.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide academic support and guidance to students, ensuring an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Ability to deliver constructive feedback that supports student development in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated capacity to facilitate teamwork and support learners to manage group issues
- Recent experience in teaching in a tertiary setting.
