**About the Role**:
Reporting to the General Manager Technical Governance, you will support the Technical Leadership Team to lead, develop and implement the Division Business Plan and improve the overall efficiency of the Division’s operations. You will assist the Technical Leadership Team to adopt an effective and efficient operating rhythm to ensure all required deliverables are produced on time facilitating strategic dialogue to ensure alignment of work to the Allianz Australia purpose.

**Other key aspects of the role**:

- Lead the implementation of the Technical Division program of work ensuring benefits are realised.
- Own the transparency of progress and status of work with the Technical Leadership Team and escalating risk, issues and blockers in a timely manner.
- Oversee the production of Divisional reporting for all forums ensuring consistency and accuracy of content, working closely with the Chief Technical Officer.
- Oversee the continuous governance of change implementation across the Division, ensuring that Technical remain within risk appetite and consult, counsel and collaborate with First Line Risk to strengthen controls and undertaking control testing as required.
- Continuously monitor customer needs and scan market developments to identify opportunities for governance improvements.
- Represent the Technical Division in forums that discuss company-wide projects, and support the General Manager Technical Governance where Business Owner accountabilities exist.

**Important to your success**:

- Extensive experience in a product or portfolio management role within a medium to large financial services organisation.
- Extensive project management experience in a senior management role for a complex, matrixed financial services organisation, with previous experience in strategy development and operational planning.
- Demonstrated understanding and interpretation of regulatory policies (ACCC, ASIC and APRA) and legislation impacting insurance and familiarity with governance protocols and committees.
- Demonstrated understanding of pricing methodology, underwriting, reinsurance and risk and compliance.
- Proven analytical, critical thinking and decision-making abilities to evaluate complex alternatives, make confident judgements and develop innovative, sophisticated solutions.
