Health Information Services at EGHS is located at the main site in Ararat. It aims to manage the health information of our patients and assist in providing mandatory reports to the Department of Health and Human Services. Health information Services works diligently to keep its records current, to support patient care and to better inform quality improvement initiatives within the organisation.

**About the Role**:
Attend to Health Information activities including but not limited to
- Quality Improvement Scanning including maintaining a robust quality audit program
- Training new and existing staff
- Processing and documentation management including destruction management and assist with evidencing digitisation activity plans
- Digital medical record error corrections
- Electronic medical records transition
- Process FOI/Other legal request
- Participate in team meetings
- Assist the Health Information Manager with any other duties as required
**About You**:
**Essential Criteria**:
- Able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated proficiency in delivering effective training and providing constructive feedback to staff.
- Demonstrated critical and analytical thinking in identifying and resolving problems.
- Demonstrated data analytical skills to identify issues and trends.
- Demonstrated proficiency in effective process review and design.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers enabling the correct and timely information to be added into the Digital/Electronic Digital Record.
- Demonstrated accurate computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel to an intermediate level.
- Extensive experience in DMR (OPAL) scanning including the use of DMR capture and proficiency in iPM document tracking.
- Can demonstrate the ability to coordinate and prioritise a range of concurrent tasks, meeting varied and challenging deadlines, taking initiative, and working effectively with others in demanding work environments.
- Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of FOI/Legal and Privacy policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
