**About the role**:
We currently have a unique opportunity for an experienced Quality Specialist (Clinical Auditing) to join our Clinical Governance team based at head office in South Brisbane. Reporting to the Group Manager - Quality Systems Improvement the Quality Specialist is the technical lead strengthening systems for Clinical Auditing and will also contribute to other quality support requirements. This role is a full-time permanent position.

The successful applicant will engage in day-to-day activities including:

- Providing technical advice and action, technically steer, drafts policy, and quality assures procedures relating to clinical auditing
- Collaborating with organisational leaders, quality teams, managers, and other relevant personnel to ensure that clinical auditing has a presence within the governance framework and aligns with clinical governance systems
- Supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical quality systems in Icon’s national and international healthcare services
- Providing specialist technical advice and action that ensures full clinical quality systems functioning, remedying problems as these arise
- Identifying trends and risks from audits and ensures that these are communicated
- Undertaking evaluation and mapping of quality related clinical auditing capacity and competencies in pertinent personnel and committees
- Working with the other personnel to ensure the adequate preparation and conduct of internal audits, accreditation, and other quality-related activities
- Contributing content to reports on audits, accreditation, and licensing.

**About you**:
We are seeking a motivated Quality Specialist (Clinical Auditing) who is excited to develop their skills and career to deliver outcomes. You will have:

- Qualifications in the specialty field or qualifications in a clinical discipline with extensive quality or accreditation support experience
- Credentialed as an Auditor with an accreditation body or a willingness to complete relevant training
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
- Extensive practical experience in health services delivery
- Extensive practical experience in clinical auditing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired:

- Registration with AHPRA or similar authority
- Member of the Australasian Association for Quality in Health Care or similar professional organisation
- Research skills and experience
