As a Director within the Capital Excellence team you will partner with industry leaders and advise on financial, procurement, strategic and public-private partnership issues for large-scale infrastructure projects, providing support from project evaluation to procurement, financial close, construction and operations
At each stage, you will help clients connect boardroom strategies to the frontline to help organisations deploy best-in-class thinking for maximum impact across their capital projects portfolios and project delivery value chain.
**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Undertake assessments to provide clients with an objective, fact-based view of strengths, opportunities, and the size of the value at stake
- Define strategic direction, optimise capital spend, and build enterprise-wide capex capabilities
- Provide end-to-end value assurance and optimisation support, tailored to major projects
- Deliver projects through a disciplined execution to accelerate schedules, improve safety outcomes, maintain quality, and reduce costs
- Provide clients with support and advising their management teams on strategic and operational questions relating to large construction projects
- Develop short
- and long-term capability-building plans for all relevant levels of client leadership
- Deliver leading-edge solutions that support capital portfolio performance by improving project management, identifying project complexities, and predicting outcomes
- Provide coaching to clients and internal staff throughout projects
- Oversee the analysis, design, and implementation of business performance approaches
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Advanced graduate degree with excellent academic record (e.g., master's degree, MBA, PhD);
- 7+ years of expertise with a distinctive record of achievement and impact
- Significant experience working on mega CapEx construction projects, project management experience preferred
- Field-based experience working on projects in one or more of the following industries: oil and gas, mining, energy, chemicals
- In-depth knowledge continuous improvement programs, i.e., Lean/Six Sigma is desirable
- Ability to structure, execute and lead complex projects in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Capability to collaborate effectively with people at all levels
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
- Capacity to take ownership and prioritise multiple deliverables under tight timeframes
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a flexible and collaborative environment
