**Municipal and Commercial Waste Collections Manager**

Citywide are recruiting for a Municipal and Commercial Waste Collections Manager to join the team based at our Dynon Road Transfer Station.

In this role you will be managing the day-to-day operations of the Municipal and Commercial Waste Collections services as well as driving the business forward strategically.

**Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Accountable for day-to-day operations ensuring all safety procedures are in place
- Accountable for the overall profitability, strategic direction and growth of the operations
- Manage the financial activities of the business and report on performance - budgets, forecasts, variance analyses and revised projections
- Develop an annual business plan
- Identify and capitalise on innovative opportunities to grow the business
- Negotiate including reviewing tender submissions where required
- Lead, manage and inspire the team
- Build strong working relationships with clients

**Skill and qualifications required**:

- Experience in managing significant assets
- At least 5 years’ experience in Operations Management at senior/divisional level
- Experience managing large teams and operating divisions effectively
- Proven negotiation skills and experience dealing with people related matters
- Sound, creative problem-solving techniques to resolve operational management issues
- Experience in preparing strategies, budgets and reports
- Proven ability to build relationships with customers and negotiate contracts
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
