**About the Client**
The Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD) is the sole medical college providing training and continuing professional development (CPD) for medical practitioners in the specialty of dermatology. As the national peak membership organisation for dermatology, the College provides information, advocacy and advice to individuals, communities, government and other health stakeholders on skin health and dermatological practice.

**About the Role**
As the Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Officer you will be responsible for building strong partnerships with the patient support groups to drive the college’s community engagement. You will also focus on raising the profile of dermatology and skin health to the community, patients and general public through media, public relations and marketing campaigns

**About the Person**

Previous experience within health promotion and/or community engagement is essential. Your background may also be within policy, advocacy or communications with a focus on engagement through social media.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Build and maintain strong, positive and productive relationships with key external and internal stakeholders
- Be the central point of contact for patient support groups and collate information for the monthly newsletter contribute to the successful design, development and delivery of community engagement campaigns
- Undertake desktop research and stay well informed of current events, media reports and stakeholder activities to contribute to and inform College’s advocacy, policy, media, marketing, education and communications activities
- Manage the online website, newsletter and support on social media campaigns via Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter

**To be successful you will have**:

- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including consumers, health and community organisations or the relevant qualification
- Knowledge or experience with healthcare, regulatory environments and/or a not-for-profit/membership organisation
- A high-level initiative and strong organisational skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of community engagement methods and practices including use of social media
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
