**What's the role?**

Working within a dynamic and collaborative team of procurement professionals, you will take a lead role in the contract management and assurance activities to support News' logistics requirements. The Contracts Manager - Logistics will ensure effective and robust management of News' national logistics contracts to deliver safe on time delivery performance outcomes and full contract compliance.

You will:

- Develop and execute Contract Management Plans covering all key contractual obligations, KPIs, performance reviews, benefits tracking and reporting to achieve contract management objectives
- Establish and maintain value-based stakeholder and strategic supplier relationships to ensure Contract Management Plans are actively being managed to meet the business needs.
- Develop and implement contract assurance and reporting processes to ensure gaps are identified and remediation plans are in place.
- Prepare and lead negotiations for contract variations and claims/disputes to deliver better procurement outcomes and mitigate commercial and operational risks.
- Proactively identify, manage and provide advice on commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical and supply chain risks to meet organisational obligations and maximise business opportunity.
- Ensure safety and quality assurance processes are maintained at a high standard.

- High performing contracts manager looking for the next step up in your career
- You have a data driven approach, with an operational mindset
- 5+ years contract management experience preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment
- You are positive, proactive and collaborative and bring an ethical procurement approach and an ability to challenge the status quo
- Highly developed commercial acumen
- Well developed competencies in procurement and contract management, with exceptional written and verbal skills
- Highly confident working with contracts - review, drafting and advice with support from senior procurement management and Legal
- Highly confident in dealing with and presenting to senior stakeholders
- Resilient, flexible and able to work to tight deadlines
- Confident in your ability to manage multiple projects
- Experience in managing disputes and claims (highly desirable)
