We're currently on the lookout for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team at Wholegreen Bakery in Alexandria as a Baker's Assistant/Junior Baker on a part-time basis, working Monday to Thursday from 7am to 4pm.

As a Baker's Assistant/Junior Baker, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced bakers and learn the ins and outs of gluten-free baking processes. You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of making and shaping of various doughs. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about baking and eager to develop their skills in a professional bakery setting.

Key responsibilities:

- Assisting in the preparation of doughs
- Operating baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofing cabinets
- Lifting raw ingredient bags of up to 20kg at a time
- Monitoring baking process and ensuring quality control
- Assisting with packaging and labeling of finished products
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a bakery/commercial production or pizza kitchen environment is preferred
- Working rights to be able to work legally in Australia at least 32 hours per week, taxed (sponsorship is not an option currently)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Food handling certification is a plus
