- **Base Salary $103,185 (pro rata) + 17% superannuation**

**About the opportunity**

The University of Sydney’s Brain and Mind Centre is a centre for discovery, innovation and integrative research strategies, clinical product development and actions that translate research into improved treatment and disease prevention strategies. The centre is made up of 27 research units, staffed by around 200 researchers and 100 students.

The Youth Mental Health and Technology team puts young people at the centre of their own care. We partner with health services to develop innovative treatments for those aged 12-25 with emerging mental health disorders. The integration of cutting-edge research with safe and effective clinical care enables us to quickly and effectively translate our research findings into clinical services, facilitating continuous improvements to mental health services for the benefit of young people in Australia.

We are seeking two **Research Officers**to lead and deliver high-impact research projects while optimising grant management processes. As a **Research Officer**, you will champion innovative research methodologies, oversee end-to-end data management and ensure the effective dissemination of research outcomes. You will also cultivate strategic partnerships, manage research documentation and contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking research environment.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

- lead and optimise research projects by refining methodologies and aligning with strategic goals
- provide expert advice on research direction, integrating current methodologies and compliance standards
- coordinate data management and analysis to generate meaningful insights and support decision-making
- strengthen relationships with stakeholders to drive collaborative research and joint initiatives relevant to mental health and digital health
- streamline administrative workflows, managing documentation, publications and regulatory requirements
- take charge of stakeholder communications, resolving concerns and fostering a culture of transparency
- champion health and safety, support purchasing processes and ensure data integrity across systems.

**About you**
- a bachelor’s degree in psychology and/or mental health, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
- demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, confidently and professionally to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- a collaborative approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional stakeholder engagement through active listening, empathy and professionalism
- the ability to think analytically and solve complex problems using data analysis, numeracy and sound judgement backed by critical thinking
- excellent attention to detail, along with effective planning, time management and proficiency in using computer systems, research software and digital tools
- competence in conducting scientific literature reviews and managing research data, reporting and dissemination
- experience in supporting programs relevant to mental health/digital health.
