Work from home and the officer 2 days week from home 3 days in the office
- Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking required
- Based in Rhodes on the trainline with carparking available

A national provider of mortgages across Australia and connected to the Big Four is seeking an in house home loan writer/broker where you will write home loans in house, completing tops ups and variations of an existing mortgage.

You will have written home loans previously and know how to loan package a loan submission to get approval. You will need strong knowledge of writing loans for self employed and sole traders applicants, knowing what different questions to ask will be an advantage to put the deal together.

You will be provided a constant source of existing customers who are seeking further finance options and your role will be to convert these leads into new business. These leads are existing customers looking for further financing options and are already proven and established customers with a relation with the bank. We are particularly after someone that has put deals together for the self employed market.

You will assess the customer’s situation, through understanding their financial needs and current financial position and determining the most appropriate solution within lending guidelines.

**In this role you will**:

- Initial telephone discussions with customer on variation offerings
- Undertake customer requirement and objectives conversations, and reviewing customer documentation
- Order valuations, and complete employment checks
- Follow up calls with customer to educate, advise outcome and next steps
- Manage all allocated files within the agreed service levels

**About you**:

- Minimum 2 years experience within a similar role such as a credit manager, business manager or home loan specialist or mortgage broker.
- Solid understanding of responsible lending, mortgages and lending principles.
- Must hold a Cert IV in Mortgage Broking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, building strong customer relationships.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and perform task both accurately and quickly.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, franchisees and brokers on all levels.
