Brix Projects are on the lookout for heavy diesel fitters for major infrastructure projects based throughout Sydney and the CBD. This role comes with the offer of full time employment along with long hours, competitive rates and an immediate start.

**Duties**:

- Diagnosing, repairing and overhauling diesel, petrol and gas-powered vehicles and plant equipment including trucks, tractors, bulldozers, buses, drill rigs and generators.
- Maintaining, diagnosing and repairing hydraulic components of diesel-powered attachments such as hoists, lifts, booms, pumps and buckets.
- Dismantling, repairing and reassembling engines, transmissions, steering columns and other components.
- Using oxy, electric, TIG and MIG welding techniques to replace and repair parts.
- Diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicle fuel injections systems.
- Testing repaired parts for proper performance.
- Testing and repairing basic electrical circuits.
- Using computers and specialised tools to diagnose and repair faults.
- Inspecting vehicles and machinery for faults.
- Following workplace Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) protocols.

**Requirements**:

- A Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology or an equivalent qualification either in Australia or abroad.
- At least 3+ years experience.
- Has their own full set of tools along with their own transportation.
- Have a safety first approach to their work.
- Capable of working alone and as part of a team.
