**About the role**
As the Configuration Specialist you will be responsible for managing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in accordance with ITIL best practices. This involves ensuring that all ICT assets and services (Configuration Items (CIs)) are accurately recorded and tracked in the CMDB, and that any changes or updates to those CIs are managed and controlled.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the development and maintain processes and procedures for managing the CMDB, including processes for CI identification, classification, and tracking.
- Work with Service Providers to ensure that all changes to CIs are managed and controlled through the Change Management process.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the CMDB, and work to resolve these issues.
- Ensure that all CIs are appropriately classified and labelled in the CMDB.

**Skills and experience**
- Tertiary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or a minimum of 5 years of experience in Configuration Management and/or Service Management roles.
- Experience using Configuration Management Tools with practical knowledge of Change, Configuration, and Asset Management (ITIL V4 practices).
- Proven client relationship management and able to translate technical issues into clear business English.
- Attention to detail with the ability to create high quality documentation and procedures.
