**The Y Victoria Point Fitness Centre** is recruiting a **Assistant Centre Manager (Programs) **on a **permanent, full time** basis to join our team located in **Victoria Point, QLD.**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The **Assistant Centre Manager (Programs)** role requires the administration and management of our community programs, including Learn to Swim and Gymnastics. This includes facility operations, staff management, program management, financial management, planning and on-going administrative requirements. You are required to adopt a hands-on approach and we expect you to display out of the box thinking, initiative and be innovative and creative in your management areas.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

- Overseeing the coordination of the Learn to Swim and Gymnastics programs
- Financial Management (budgeting, financial reporting and cash control);
- Develop and implement marketing strategies in association with the Centre Manager;
- Engaging with the local community to increase programs participation at the centre;
- Manage, train, develop and evaluate staff in all areas of operations;
- Identify growth opportunity for the centre;
- Hiring of staff;
- Rostering of staff and adhering to budget parameters
- Supporting all team members and promoting a positive team environment;

**SELECTION CRITERIA**

**The ideal applicant** will be able to meet the following criteria:

- Extensive experience and understanding in the running of gymnastics and or learn to swim
- Detail oriented and a willingness to take on challenges with a growth mentality
- Flexibility to work the hours required for diverse and busy facility
- A current First aid and CPR certificate
- A paid Blue Card or willing to obtain.
- You must be community minded and be able to communicate fluently and effectively with a variety of key stakeholders including members, parents, and staff.
