**About the role**:
Based in Paramatta, you will be joining a fast paced, busy team. You will enjoy operating with an appropriate level of autonomy, reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will be engaging with all staff across our business.

This will be a pivotal role to help support the success of the whole team and broader business. At Northrop, our people are our most valued resource. Our Finance Team play a key role in the success of our organisation and our strategic and operational efficiencies. The team works closely with all Northrop employees, and our external stakeholders, to ensure accurate information can be provided across all areas relating to finance and accounting.

The Accounts Payable Officer will be a key support role in our Corporate Finance team. This position is responsible for providing an efficient and effective accounts payable service to all employees.

**The impact you’ll have**:

- Establish and maintain positive supplier and cross function relationships.
- Accounts Payable processing including liaising with the Business Support team to verify invoice coding and approvals, invoice entry and account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and organised filing records of all invoices processed and paid
- Create new vendors where necessary and confirm the bank details prior to payment
- Assistance where needed with the fortnightly payment runs
- Assistance where needed with BPay and International payment processing
- Keeping track of Aged Creditors report
- Credit card account processing
- Liaise with regions and assisting others within the Finance Team as required

**The talent you’ll bring**:

- High attention to detail
- Ability to work in a close-knit team as well as working autonomously.
- Previous experience in an accounts payable role within building and construction industry will be highly regarded.
- Sound understanding of Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Experience working with Accounting Software is desirable.
- Previous experience in an admin role with AP duties is desirable
- Experience with high volume transactions as well as ERP Software is desirable
