**The opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Officer to join our Melbourne-based Motorcycle team. This position will see you provide delivery of superior claims service, determining proper policy coverage to conclude, investigate, evaluate and negotiate assigned cases.

**Your new role**
- Management of lodgements and repairs for Motorcycle Claims utilising multiple claims systems and processes
- Maintaining positive stakeholder relationships with the insured, agents and service providers
- Interpreting basic policy coverage and determining if coverage applies to claims submitted
- Receiving, recording and processing incoming insurance claims
- Authorizing payment within scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost-effective manner and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements and
- Identifying suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims and arranging investigations.

**About you**
- Previous experience in a similar role within Motor Claims is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Strong negotiation, organisational, and time management skills.
- A quick learner who is comfortable with technology
- While not essential, a passion for motorcycles would be a plus
