**About the Opportunity**
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Information & ICT to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager Business Establishment and working closely with the SSN AUKUS and Information Technology leadership teams, you will be responsible for delivering IT and Information Management outcomes within the SSN AUKUS build program. This role involves developing and implementing frameworks and strategies, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with strict defence legislation. You will lead a team of IT and information management professionals, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
A degree of flexibility with working hours is required to support the engagement with the Joint Partner. This role may require periodic or regular overseas travel.
**Responsibilities**
- Develop IT and information management frameworks for decision making and governance.
- Collaborate with leadership and business teams to identify and prioritize strategic digital ambitions.
- Ensure consistent work processes to support continuous improvement and innovation.
- Deliver IT and information management projects on time and within budget.
- Provide clear advice and articulate frameworks and policies to the business.
- Report on business function performance and compliance.
- Lead risk identification and mitigation related to strategy execution.
- Foster a culture of innovation, recognition, and value within the team.
- Assist teams in improving processes and technology for greater efficiency.
**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, IT, Information Management, Change Management, Psychology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive positive morale, and understand customer requirements in complex systems.
- Experience in defence IT systems design, development, execution, and sustainment.
- Experience in defence information management systems design, development, execution, and sustainment.
- Experience in knowledge management framework design, development, execution, and sustainment.
- Experience in Change Management, Systems Thinking, Lean, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent training with evidence of positive change outcomes.
- Proficiency in Agile project delivery software (e.g., Jira), collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint), and data visualization software (e.g., PowerBI).
- Technical proficiency in understanding technical solutions and enterprise architecture.
- Experience in Defence environments, including ASDEFCON acquisition projects.
**Eligibility**
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
