Our Cold storage department is where finished cartons of meat and carcasses come for chilling or freezing and are then loaded into containers or onto trucks to be sent to over a hundred countries worldwide who love to devour our 100% grass-fed red meat.

Our client is the cornerstone employer in the Brooklyn/ Western Suburbs area and we're looking to add enthusiastic team members to our Cold Chain team. This department absolutely buzzes Forklifts going, containers moving, trucks in and out, team members stacking, racking, and cracking up A close-knit team who has a lot of fun doing some heavy work, but they love it, and they're keen to get more good people involved

We are seeking Forklift operators and Freezer hands to join our busy team and operate in a continually day shift work pattern vacancy in our cold stores. These roles ensure all incoming product from processing departments needs are correctly handled and chilled following procedures related to Food Safety and Quality are followed and adhered to with uniformity.

This role will suit someone with drive, initiative, computer skills, the ability to work unsupervised and excellent communication skills. Ideally you have come from a busy warehouse position that involved performing a variety of duties

**Qualifications**

These positions involve working in a cold environment, and includes sorting and stacking cartons of product, picking orders, putting pallets into cold storage, and relocating as required, loading containers, and packing for local transport.
Successful applicants must demonstrate the following:

- Proven experience with safe work practices
- Willing to learn and reliable with a good attitude
- Ability to work effectively in a team or individual environment
- We are looking for experienced forklift operators and Freezer Hands with
- Enthusiasm, physically fit, willing to work hard, good with figures, accurate and able to think for themselves.
- You will pass a pre-employment drug test and medical assessment including Q fever vaccination (Paid by employer)
- Covid Booster shot is a requirement for employment
- You enjoy working within a team environment
- You are physically fit, committed, and reliable
- Must have own transport as public transport is unavailable
- Must Reside in Australia
