**As we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we are looking to appoint a talented Inventory Manager to join the team at our Laverton North facility in Melbourne.**

Reporting to the site General Manager, you will have the opportunity to have a positive impact across different teams as well as our customer portfolio in alignment with our strategic aspirations.

Your role is responsible for planning the Laverton operation, ensuring the site is operating in a safe, compliant, profitable, and cost-efficient manner whilst ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and service is being delivered.

**Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Delivering a high level of service to the customer from a warehouse through to delivery to store across a 24/7 retail logistics operation
- Ensuring agreed customer service levels are met in consultation with the Customer Relationship Manager
- Ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed
- Managing all inventory control responsibilities for the site, including but not limited to inventory checks, cycle counting and pick bin reconciliation against customer requirements
- Identifying inventory discrepancies, conduct investigations and prepare reports. Where applicable, identify root causes of discrepancies and amend procedures, systems and processes where required
- Standardisation of processes and systems across the site to ensure day to day inventory control operations are managed consistently, efficiently and effectively.
- Contributing to the senior leadership team by assisting with development of strategies and ways of operating to drive consistency

**To be successful, you will ideally have**:

- Extensive experience in a similar role (logistics/transport industry is preferable)
- A background in a retail logistics environment within a distribution centre or a fast-paced FMCG environment
- Experience and knowledge of a multi temperature operation is preferrable
- Qualifications in Logistics Management or a business discipline, and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience and knowledge with planning activities: operational, labour, site capacity, data integrity
- Strong leadership skills, managing a large sized operational team
- Good understanding of profit and loss and other KPI's that drive storage, handling and distribution costs
- Strong knowledge of labour cost control and improvement, and the relationship between labour and handling revenue
