**Your new role**

Reporting to the Facilities Management Asset Service Group Manager, the Manager Clinical Engineering plays an integral team leadership role providing exceptional strategic and professional advice regarding the prioritisation, evaluation, and development of all aspects of asset provision and full asset life-cycle management of all medical devices, including recall management and regulatory and legislative compliance. Additionally, this strategic role supports the principles of the Department of Treasury and Finance Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF) and Melbourne Health’s strategic and service objectives.

Day to day, this role will be responsible for but not limited to;
- Positively developing and leading a collaborative team culture, fostering strong service delivery across the 3 direct reports and the broader team of 16 Biomedical Engineers and industry professionals
- Ensuring a strong and robust communications process between managers, leaders, trade staff and contractors within Clinical Engineering and across the Facilities Management team as needed by leading communications sessions, monthly CEO and executive Board meetings, staff and toolbox meetings, ensuring the appropriate dissemination of communications to the Clinical Engineering team
- Developing and maintaining high quality, efficient, cost-effective and consistent preventive and corrective maintenance programs for medical equipment and ensuring accurate asset information systems are maintained within the Computer Assisted Facilities Management (CAFM) system

**What you'll need to succeed**
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Biomedical or similar)
- Strong expertise in asset management within a healthcare setting, including a comprehensive understanding and demonstrated experience in full asset lifecycle strategic planning, implementation, and management
- Demonstrated up-to-date industry knowledge of medical equipment and Australian Standards
- Strong experience in direct team management and leadership with a focus on fostering strong service delivery, monitoring KPIs and performance reviews
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent stakeholder management abilities, liaising with clinical/operational and executive staff, establishing and building constructive working relationships and maintaining positive partnerships both internally and externally
