**About the role**

Centre Of Care Disability Services is seeking a motivated and empathetic Disability Support Worker to join our team in and around Hamlyn Terrace, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with various disabilities, helping them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

**What you'll be doing**
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote clients' wellbeing and community engagement
- Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to client care
- Collaborating with the care team to develop and implement individualised support plans
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and industry regulations

**What we're looking for**
- A Certificate III/IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification
- Minumum 2 years of experience working with people with disabilities, either in a professional or personal capacity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of those you support
- A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: $33.00 - $41.96 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Overtime
- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability
- Weekends only

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)
