The delivery of effective support and assistance to people with a disability is a complex combination of activities; it requires an integrated approach in which all those involved work together to enhance an individual’s quality of life.

**About your role**:
We are seeking highly motivated, bubbly and vibrant Recreation and Lifestyle Officers to join our collaborative team within our CPP division.

Recreation and Lifestyle Officers aim to go above and beyond in your work as you provide assistance in daily activities and personal care that enhances our resident’s well-being and quality of life. With your passion for providing person centered care to people with a disability and enjoyment of working alongside others you will be responsible for implementing programs that facilitate social, psychological, recreational, cultural and spiritual well-being activities for our participants.

You will have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts across seven days per week.

**Key Selection Criteria**:

- Understanding and commitment to support persons with a disability in daily living, personal care skills and community integration to foster their skill development and independence.
- Able to development, implement and review program planning to effectively engage people with disability.
- Oral and written communication skills for engaging and communicating with persons with a disability, staff, families and for writing reports.
- Experience in working as part of a team and maintaining good working relationships.
- Commitment to work independently and professionally and follow McCall guidelines.
- Understanding of and commitment to providing support and care in compliance with the NDIS Code of Conduct.
- Understanding of and commitment to meet the McCall requirements in terms of employment equity and diversity, WH&S, ethical practice and the Code of Conduct.

**Essential Qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience delivering a range of leisure and lifestyle activities.
- Ability to adapt and respond to participants needs.
- Demonstrated competence in delivering services that ensures participants are safe.
- Good written and verbal communication skills including computer skills.
- Ability to complete assessments, support plans and reviews within designated time frames.
- Ability to demonstrate the highest level of customer service and response.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidenced based practice.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise in a flexible and adaptable way.
- Current driver’s license
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- NDIS Worker Orientation
