We now have an exciting opportunity for a result-oriented talent to join our Health & Biosciences Team as Technical Sales Manager Cheese, Cultures and Enzymes Australia and New Zealand.

This position can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne in Australia and will report into the ANZ Sales Director for Health and Biosciences.

Your Focus

Responsible for the Cheese Cultures and Enzymes business in Australia and New Zealand, the Technical
- Sales Manager role requires strong prospecting and technical skills, and principal responsibilities include:

- Support and promote Technically our Cultures to our cheese customers and prospects
- Develop a robust opportunity pipeline by identifying and cultivating target accounts
- Be responsible for some Cheese accounts and achieve/exceed sales targets
- Establish / maintain strong customer relationships
- Collaborate with internal functions (e.g. Innovation, Application, Product Management, Quality, Regulatory) to drive conversion of business leads

The role will see you engage with customers mainly in Technical and Application discussions but also in commercial and marketing. The portfolio scope will be Cultures and Enzymes for Cheese.

How You Will Contribute
- Provide technical support for our customers.
- Promote technically our Cheese Cultures and Enzymes to achieve Sales Targets and Business objectives within ANZ.
- Develop Account strategy and execute plans for key accounts.
- Understand the needs and challenges of customers, build and manage strategic relationships at key accounts.
- Develop new business and new accounts through strong technical knowledge of the industry and proper follow-up of the customers’ expectations.
- Successfully commercialize new opportunities developing differentiated and innovative solutions through all stages of the sales process.
- Develop and/or deliver customer innovation sessions and presentations.
- Maintain up to date knowledge on market developments and trends, competitive intelligence etc., to ensure relevance of market strategy.
- Maintain updated CRM and monthly forecast

What you will need to be successful
- Cheesemaker with ideally production experience (3 to 5 years minimum)
- Or Bachelor’s degree (Master preferred) in dairy / food technology, food engineering or related Science degree.
- Strong technical acumen preferred; no sales experience necessarily required (However sales experience will be a plus)
- Expertise in customer engagement and key account management is preferred.
- Existing network and expertise in the ANZ dairy industry, esp Cheese.
- Effective listening, verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
- High drive and self-motivated, flexible and good agility in a global business environment.
- Willingness to travel within Oceania
