We are looking for support workers across Greater Western Sydney and the CBD. We are looking for passionate, empathetic, people orientated, Support Workers with excellent communication skills, to assist our Mental Health & Disability participants with their everyday living tasks, achieving their goals and engaging in community-based activities.

- Your Role and Responsibilities, may involve: _
- Assisting participants with their NDIS goals and daily activities
- Breaking down every day living tasks in order to build a consistent routine
- Prompting and or assisting with personal hygiene; showering, dressing, brushing teeth
- Community focused activities; planning and following through with social activities in and around participants local area, strengthening their social skills
- Assist with in home care, preparing meals, assisting with washing and various household task
- Transport, to and from medical appointments, activities, and outings
- Be able to create an innovative approach to best interact with participants individual needs
- Complete detailed Shift Summaries and communicate any incidents accordingly
- Some participants may require RN experience, manual handling, and industry specific health task such as peg feeding, bowel care, tracheostomy needs. (RN experience is not necessary for all participants)

Essential Requirements:

- The legal right to work in Australia
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination or medical exemption
- Two references

Desirable Requirements:

- Experience working with people who have a disability and challenging behaviours
- First Aid & CPR
- ABN
- Adequate communication and verbal skills
- Good writing skills for all mandatory reports

**Salary**: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
