Are you looking for an opportunity to take your leadership skills to the next level? We now have an exciting role for a Drainage Maintenance Team Leader who can lead our team and provide maintenance of the City’s assets and facilities in accordance with the Drainage Maintenance Plan.
As our next Drainage Maintenance Team Leader, you'll be responsible for the supervision and development of our current drainage team, ensuring they have the support and guidance necessary to excel in their roles. In addition, you'll lead the maintenance of drainage systems in accordance with the Drainage Maintenance Schedule, utilising your experience in general labouring, concrete mixing, concrete laying, slab and brick paving, and basic traffic management.
In addition to the maintenance responsibilities, you'll get to be involved in a range of civil works projects around the City of Melville, including concrete mixing, concrete laying, slab and brick paving.
You'll be a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, liaising with them on current civil works and maintenance projects. If you're a skilled labourer with experience in drainage maintenance and a passion for civil works, we want to hear from you.
**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Considerable practical experience in drain maintenance and repairs.
- Demonstrated experience in the safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Previous supervisory experience within a team environment.
- Experience in training staff in the use of maintenance plant and equipment.
- Experience in the development and review of procedures and work instructions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health standards.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management and organisation skills.
- Effective decision making and problem solving skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
**Essential Qualifications**:
- Certificates to operate front end loader, forklift and HIAB
- Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
- Current ‘MR’ Class Drivers Licence
- White Card
- Basic Traffic Management Certificate
- Senior First Aid Certificate, or ability to obtain
