A service based in Melton is looking for a passionate and organised Assistant Coordinator for children in our after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 28.75 hours per week all year round - the perfect balance

Hours will be Monday -Friday, 07:00 - 09:00 AM ( Rise then Shine Program ) and 02:30 - 06:00 PM ( Stay and PlayProgram ).

About the role
Co-manag ing a team of Educators, you ’ll have the perfect balance of support and leadership opportunities. You will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years, with the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service. Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

About the service
Based in Melton, this role would see youembedded in a vibrant and cooperative school community, within a POD of 6 Services which have a Lead Coordinator. The space is comprised of a designated OSHC room and access to the school gym with plenty of fun options for the kids.

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have: Enjoy working with kids Strong and clear communication and planning skills Team player with a desire to become a service leader Hold or willing to obtain a national police check ( we'll pay for it) and a state check for working with children Australian work rights Ideally Diploma qualified
