**The Company**

Our client is a leading food manufacturer who supply into two main streams, food retail and bespoke services, and are seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Manager responsible for ensuring all products are produced and tested according to their regulatory and customer requirements for hygiene, food safety and quality. Importantly, this role will work closely with Operations and Production in the daily manufacture and continuous improvement at the site and assisting the Innovation Team by supporting Product Development activities including trials in process and production areas.

**The Role**

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Leading and directing the work of the Senior Quality Officer and Quality Officers in the monitoring of all quality and food safety parameters in production across the two sites.
- Investigating and resolving any quality related issues within the facility with a focus on improving the performance measures of Right First Time and Customer Complaints.
- Partnering with production, sanitation, maintenance, planning counterparts and commercial to ensure high performance.
- Lead the development and roll out of Quality Culture programs.
- Supporting the Quality, HACCP and production teams to ensure the facility is always audit ready.
- Lead the Quality Management System Audits including SQF, HACCP and customer audits.
- Ensure all CCPs and QCPs are being validated and being verified as described in the HACCP plans.

**Your Background**

To be successful in this role you will be:

- Ideally tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or similar field.
- Experienced within a food production/FMCG business in a similar role with leadership /supervisory experience.
- Experienced leading external audits, ensuring ‘excellence’ scores
- Sound understanding of food processing including quality and food safety.
- Have the ability to demonstrate leadership/management skills for development.
- Exposure to continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborative in their style, inclusive in making decisions.
