GHD has rich expertise in delivering large-scale renewable, energy storage and power transmission projects in Western Australia and elsewhere. This is complimented by our large local team’s strong pedigree in the end-to-end power system planning design which includes generation, transmission, distribution, renewables, battery energy storage and decarbonisation technology.

Located in Perth, you will work with a team of highly experienced engineers, designers and project managers in collaboration with our local, interstate and global operations. We’re looking for a **Design Manager - Transmission, Renewables and Energy Storage**to join our **WA Future Energy Business Group**. This role is ideal for technically minded individuals with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, who thrive on a broad exposure and variety and have a passion to contribute to the energy transition.

**Working w**ith an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in**:

- Leading concept and feasibility studies for transmission, renewable and energy storage projects, including project cost estimating and scheduling.
- Leading the delivery of complex detailed design for transmission, renewable and energy storage projects, including construction/commissioning support.
- Leading teams of multi-disciplined engineers and designers, including project controls personnel to deliver a quality outcome as proposed to the client.
- Liaising with and management of relevant stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Leading or contributing to the preparation of high-quality winning proposals.
- Contributing to national global initiatives, as part of GHD’s enterprise level energy focus.

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Relevant Engineering qualification, further project management studies deemed highly beneficial.
- A self-starter, proactive attitude with a strong desire for quality delivery.
- Strong alignment with GHD values.
- 10+ years design, engineering or project management experience.
- Project life cycle process knowledge and approval gates for major capital projects.
- Concept and feasibility study management experience.
- Experience with major power transmission and renewable energy connection projects.
