**About the Business**
Our Strategic and Policy Reform team is responsible for leading the state's disability and neurodivergence agenda, which includes development, implementation and oversight of legislation and strategies to support greater community access and inclusion.
**Role Details**
The Briefings and Business Support Coordinator is a role within Strategic Policy and Reform and is accountable to the Business Coordinator for:
- Coordination of briefings, ministerial responses and reporting for Ministers and the Chief Executive and appropriate recording and monitoring of responses.
- Providing timely advice on the various briefing processes to be utilised.
- Providing executive and administrative support to the Director and broader Strategic Policy and Reform Directorate.
- Contributing to a range of activities to support the development and implementation of various policy and strategy initiatives including undertaking data collection, research and preparing reports or correspondence.
- A range of functions which contribute to an effective and efficient briefing, liaison and correspondence service, undertaking tasks designed to expedite and improve information flow and contributing to the delivery of efficient work practices.
Key outcomes and accountabilities:
1.Work collaboratively to develop effective working relationships with peers, staff and stakeholders to deliver quality and timely communication services in response to confidential, sensitive and urgent matters.
2. Respond to tight deadlines and matters of a critical or complex nature under limited direction including taking prompt and proactive action to solve problems and act decisively on own judgement.
3. Utilise processes to proactively follow up work where needed to facilitate high quality and timely response to requests for critical and time-sensitive information.
4. Ensure quality of presentation and composition of briefings and draft responses by analysing documents for congruence with policy, priority and sensitivity to the political context of issues.
5. Set own work priorities and manage workload efficiently to meet work objectives, respond to changing priorities and adapt approaches to accommodate new operational environments.
6. Provide administrative assistance to the directorate’s members (including Director) including diary management, preparation and distribution of meeting papers, meeting facilitation and general office support to ensure smooth daily operations for all members.
7. Maintain accurate records relating to Ministerial and Chief Executive correspondence and briefings within the departments records management systems and data analysis regarding the number and types of briefings, and identifying complaint trends to assist with determining key areas for improvement of service response initiatives.
Note: Any other responsibilities in line with the classification level of the role as assigned by Line Manager and/or the Department. The responsibilities as specified above may be altered in accordance with the changing requirements of the role.
**Special Conditions**
National Police Check required.

**Salary Range**: $76,561-$80,256 (ASO4)
