The Workshop Technician main role will be to undertake repairs and maintain equipment such as elevating work platforms, telescopic handlers, skid steers and forklifts. The requirement will be to work on DC electrical systems, hydraulic systems, as well as mechanical equipment such as, engines, motors and production machine equipment.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Undertake pre-delivery inspections and modification on new machine.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation according to manufacturer requirements & perform diagnostic procedures to locate causes of faults.
- Installs & repair electrical apparatus, such as EWP wiring and associated components including adjustment & repair of electronic components such as PCB control cards.
- Calibrates equipment using electronic aids & procedures & programmable controllers.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts & components.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices & equipment.
- Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Starts / operates devices to test their performance.
- Sets up and operates repair equipment and repair parts according to instruction & procedure.
- Repairs electrical equipment as instructed.
- Liaise with spare parts team to determine parts required for repairs.
- Use Manitou systems and tools to log job status, report, consult documentation, escalate issues

**Transversal projects and innovation**
- Where required, participate on transversal projects to support the development of Manitou Center activity
- Propose and Innovate on targeted actions to bring more added value to our dealers and customers

**The Person**:

- Excellent interpersonal relationship and customer focused.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Warm Personality and open minded.
- Self motivated.
- Good technical background experience in hydraulics and electrics for supporting Machinery: e.g: Telescopic Handlers, Forklifts, Tractors, earthmoving equipment etc...
- Hard worker, practical personality.
- Good Team spirit, experience working in a small team is an advantage
- Person who wants to participate strongly in the development of a growing business.
- Flexibility to work and adapt to different cultures and new projects.

**Experience**:

- Must have a one year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Work experience in customer support
- Forklift licence desirable
- Current drivers license an advantage
- Current EWP High Risk License an advantage
- Telehandler Gold Card an advantage.
