**The Role**
Life in our team is never dull. We deliver a broad range of services including our business as usual activities for the Defence Estate, as well as the occasional crisis response and everything in between. We are looking for two enthusiastic, motivated and agile thinkers to join our service delivery team.
As an Assistant Director in Estate Service Delivery (ESD) branch you will have the opportunity to lead and work in a team of professionals, to manage contractors at the strategic level with a focus on the strategic and operational requirements that must be met to deliver services across over 70 bases, 25,000 buildings and 2 million hectares of land.
The two EL 1 roles sit within the Directorate of Operational Support, one responsible for leading a small team managing the Base Services products Transport, Rescue Fire Fighting and Airfield Operations. The other will be responsible for managing Defence Mail Services and Defence Vehicles for the Security and Estate Group.
**About our Team**
Our branch is one of three branches within Service Delivery Division (SDD) that provide essential, on-the-ground services and support to Defence personnel around Australia in SDD’s three geographic Zones. We achieve job satisfaction through continuous improvement and the knowledge that we enable Defence personnel to achieve their mission through delivery of excellent services on Defence Bases.

Previous contract management experience is preferred along with an understanding of Defence’s business, objectives, and strategic drivers.
