Job Description: Retail Sales Assistant

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at My Secret Wardrobe, a high-end designer dress hire store located in Chester Hill, Sydney. As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and contributing to the overall success of our store.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Provide exceptional customer service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Offer personalized styling advice and guidance to help customers find the perfect dress for their special occasion. Ensure a positive and memorable shopping experience for all customers.

2. Sales and product knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our collection of designer dresses and accessories. Stay updated on current fashion trends and be able to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and pricing to customers. Upsell and cross-sell when appropriate to maximize sales.

3. Dress fitting and alterations: Assist customers with dress fittings, ensuring proper sizing and alterations if needed. Collaborate with external alteration services to provide timely and accurate alterations for customers.

4. Merchandising and store maintenance: Maintain the visual appeal of the store by ensuring that dresses and accessories are properly displayed and organized. Regularly restock and replenish merchandise on the sales floor. Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

5. POS operations and administrative tasks: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash and card payments, exchanges, and returns. Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and replenishment.

6. Team collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales targets and store objectives. Support colleagues during busy periods and contribute to a positive and cohesive work environment.

**Requirements**:
1. Previous retail sales experience is preferred, particularly in the fashion industry.

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and connect with customers.

3. Strong fashion sense and knowledge of current trends in formal wear.

4. Attention to detail and the ability to provide personalized styling advice.

5. Ability to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a possible Thursday night shift that ends at 8:30 PM.

6. Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.

7. Able to work a Sunday at least once a month and take a day of in the week instead.

**Salary**: From $600.00 per week

**Experience**:

- Point of Sale (POS) software: 1 year (preferred)
- Working towards sales targets and KPIs: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
