Our client is an Australian family business 70 years in the making and whose products are in our pantry cupboards.
They are recognised for their commitment to environmental and sustainability initiatives and have recently won an award for such success. Not only are they known for their array of agricultural-based products, but they’re also applauded for their continuing commitment to local farmers and the greater agricultural community.
Qualifications Fitter:
Desirable: Experienced Fitter, with previous experience on heavy mechanical conveyors, gearboxes, blowers, and silos, as well as general equipment, including Boiler maintenance and general production equipment and pumps etc.
Good understanding of Electrical systems, including IT-controlled production equipment, to coordinate maintenance requirements for these as required with It Contractors, and with the site Electrical Contractors for all electrical maintenance matters.
Type of person: Initially to start as a hands-on Fitter to tackle daily breakdowns of a variety of equipment (including also for Trucks Maintenance, forklifts etc)
- Undertaking hands-on tasks for Mechanical repair of equipment, and maintenance as required, (AND coordinate extra resources with Contractor(s) when additional resources are required for the job for bigger items).
- Maintaining equipment, including replacement of components and a lubrication programme to ensure a regular maintenance & service programme, as per required Industrial Standards and as per Site Certification(s) requirements
- Maintaining a good network of suppliers and coordinating spare parts and resources with suppliers for the maintenance and repair of equipment
- Maintaining adequate stock of essential spare parts on site.
- Responsible for upkeep of site workshop as required.
