**Baxter’s Lot is seeking a Venue Manager.**

Baxter’s Lot is a cosy neighbourhood bar in Fitzroy right in the middle of Brunswick Street where all the action happens
Warm and welcoming in winter and cool and breezy in summer the venue is currently open 6 nights and offers free live music every night.
With a laid-back vibe, our staff are essential to maintaining the friendly atmosphere, making it the perfect place for a drink, dance and watch some of the best live in the area.
Baxter’s prides itself on supporting local emerging artist with live performances all night’s downstairs and DJ’s upstairs on Friday’s and Saturday’s
We already have a solid team and have been established in the live music scene for some time, but we are in need for an experienced Venue Manager who is a quality leader to join in the journey

A Venue Manager at Baxter’s Lot:

- Day to day management of a bar environment
- Encouraging a customer-focused culture
- Maintain financial control and seeking to achieve targets
- Manage bookings and inquiries
- Conducting on the job training for staff
- Writing rosters to budget
- Oversee ordering procedures
- Planning and coordinating functions and events
- Activating marketing initiatives
- Maintaining great venue presentation
- Co-ordination of staff and management
- Overseeing shift prep and managing wastage
- Reporting, communicating & delegating to management
- Daily and weekly reconciliations

Desirable qualities for applicants:

- Experience in a similar role
- Strong customer focus
- Friendly, welcoming & grateful to all customers
- Composed, swift & efficient
- Strong knowledge of beverage services
- Understanding of computers & technology
- Someone who leads by example
- Previous experience working in a live music venue but not essential

Salary will be based on what you can bring to the role

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Rotating roster

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus
