**About the Role**

As a key member of our team, you'll receive mentorship and coaching, helping you take the helm alongside the Store Manager. Your mission will be to navigate our store's operations, ensuring that employee performance reaches for the stars and that every customer's experience is out of this world.

Remuneration & Star Benefits
- Your starting salary will be $68,750 + Superannuation.

**Roster**
- Prepare for shifts ranging from 7 am to 5 pm, ensuring a versatile schedule.
- Your weekly commitment will be 38 hours, with mínimal to no overtime, promoting work-life balance.
- Our cosmic operation extends seven days a week with availability required on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, with Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off.

- Possess 2-3 years of invaluable hospitality experience, honing your skills like a seasoned cosmic traveller.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Ensure each customer's journey with us is one to remember, for all the right reasons.
- Uphold the quality and consistency standards that define Black Star Pastry.
- Oversee the operation of the store, ensuring its smooth and harmonious existence.
- Collaborate closely with the Store Manager in activities such as ordering, team management, and store maintenance.

**About the Business**

Black Star Pastry opened its first boutique patisserie in Newtown in 2008 and since then we have grown into an institution with stores across Sydney and Melbourne.

We are most famous for our Strawberry Watermelon Cake which has become a social media sensation, with the New York Times declaring it “the world’s most instagrammed cake.”
