Hospitality Manager

Frank Schoonatra is a leading hospitality venue operator expanding to open two venues in Newcastle CBD. We are seeking an experienced **Hospitality Manager** to oversee daily operations, enhance customer experience, and lead our team to success.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan and organize the range and mix of services, including karaoke, live music events, bar operations, and restaurant offerings.
- Monitor inventory, manage supplier relationships, order supplies, and control budgets to maximize profitability.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote and sell food, beverages, and entertainment packages.
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws, food safety standards, and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of customer service across all business areas.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally to enhance brand reputation.
- Maintain all necessary permits and certifications required for business operations.
- Oversee the planning and execution of live music performances, karaoke events, and themed nights.
- Coordinate with artists, bands, and DJs to create engaging entertainment programs.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff across multiple departments, including kitchen, bar, floor service, and event management.
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor staff performance.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and monitor revenue streams from food, beverages, and entertainment services.
- Engage in social media and digital marketing to attract customers and build brand recognition.
- Manage all aspects of restaurant/bar operations, ensuring high service standards.
- Lead and train staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability.
- Oversee stock control, supplier negotiations, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase customer engagement and revenue.

**Requirements**:

- Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, cost control and inventory management.
- Deep understanding of health and safety and liquor licence regulations.
- Current food safety certificate.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Expertise in customer service, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
- Experience in event planning, marketing, and business development.
- Fluency in English (speaking, writing, and reading) is required; Japanese language experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years (recent) full-time hospitality management experience
- Diploma or higher in Hospitality Management preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a diverse team.
- Willing to work regular late nights and split shifts (3AM finish time typical Friday and Saturday).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
