The Clinical Research Officer will be responsible for a range of duties that support the Cancer Services trial and research portfolio. Responsibilities will include development, preparation, submission and ongoing management of research documentation; study feasibility, start up, close-out and archiving activities.

The position works as part of a multidisciplinary team and requires a comprehensive understanding of health service delivery and the research regulatory environment.

The position will support the Clinical Trials Manager with all trial administration activities of the unit and will hold responsibility for research data management support and study coordination as directed.

Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
