As the **Haematology Trials Fellow**, you will develop expertise in the diagnosis and management of haematological disorders, which will include exposure to clinical research and clinical trials. You will work collaboratively with patients, scientific staff, and other health professionals from other public and private health services to achieve high quality service provision to patients. You will be responsible for understanding, reviewing, and implementing treatment protocols, quality monitoring requirements including clinical audit and critical reviews. You will be responsible for providing both routine and urgent medical assessment and clinical care to Haematology patients being screened and participating in clinical trials as a certified investigator within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District. Depending on appropriate accreditation duties will include screening and provision of care to clinical trials patients in Wollongong Private Hospital.

**Selection Criteria**
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category and completed training with FRACP/FRCPA or FRACP only or international equivalent for Haematology.
- A passion for and commitment to collaboration in the clinical researcher endeavour.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.
- Demonstrated high level communication skills, including the ability to convey, and adapt verbal and written information to a clinical and non-clinical audience.
- Demonstrated good organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Demonstrated high level independence clinical skills and judgement, with the ability to make sound decisions and problem solve with an awareness of limitations and ability to learn independently and modify behaviour accordingly.
- Previous experience in and willingness to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.
