As a result of their continued success and growth, they are seeking an experience Transport Manager to oversee one of their West Melbourne sites.

Your new role

As a Transport Manager in this business, you will be responsible for:

- Ensuring safe working practices for all employees at all times.
- Leading, managing, and motivating the Transport team to consistently meet operational targets.
- Developing, implementing, and managing all daily transport functions in the most cost-effective way possible.
- Carrying out employee reviews.
- Assisting supervisors with team management and scheduling.
- Liaising with sub-contractors to ensure deadlines are met.
- Completing daily transport activity KPI’s and submitting these weekly to the State Manager.
- Managing allocation of transport, resources, and staff within the specified budget.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Exemplary communication and mentoring skills.
- A proven understanding of costing structures and revenues.
- Good experience in customer relations.
- The ability to implement and deliver policies and procedures.
- Proven experience in working with a team of Transport professionals such as drivers, supervisors, and senior direct reports.
- Strong experience in managing the safety policies and procedures to all staff on-site.
- A sound knowledge of the Transport industry and it’s clients.
