**Role Description/Criteria**

Applications are invited from a qualified Learning Support Officer (LSO) to join a dynamic team at St Joseph’s Black Rock. LSO's work closely with classroom teachers and take their direction from them creating as inclusive a learning environment as possible.

It is expected that the successful applicant will be:

- committed to the school values
- work with students with various needs and abilities across all learning areas under the direction of teachers and with the support and direction of the Learning Diversity Leader.
- highly motivated, friendly and enthusiastic
- experience working with students with a diverse range of needs
- effective communication and organisational skills
- self-motivated
- able to build positive relationships with children and create learning environments where all are valued and challenged

Special Requirements:
Certificate of Education Support (preferred)

Current Working With Children Check

Current National Criminal Record Check
