We at Labour Lab is looking for an experienced Electrical/ Electronic Technician with Switchboard Building experience for a permanent role.
Based in Rydalmere, NSW this role requires someone who is a competent electrical technician, responsible for the assembly of metal ware to make a complete enclosure system and for the wiring of the enclosures in accordance with local wiring regulations and AS3000. They need to be able to interpret the wiring schematics in control panel wiring with a strong attention to detail and can read schematic diagrams.

**Key Accountabilities**:
Workplace safety

Production quality

Assembling and wiring distribution boards, control panels and main switchboards.

Reading and interpreting electrical design drawings, documentation and schematics

Work as part of the team to meet daily output requirements and exceed customers’ expectations

Ensuring that all activities are undertaken in accordance with applicable legal requirements, Australian standards and statutory regulations

Actively participate, comply and assist with implementing all safety, environmental and quality requirements as outlined in the company’s policies and procedures.

**Requirements, Experience & Competency**:
Relevant Trade qualifications (desirable) but not essential, with proven experience building main switchboards, distribution boards and control panels

Knowledge and skills interpreting switchboard drawings & schematic diagrams

Ability to wire and connect electrical devices with various tools

Basic understanding of wiring rules and regulations

Assembly work and control cabling

Busbar work (Advantageous)

Working knowledge of Australian electrical standards

Exceptional problem solving skills with the ability to think and act quickly in a fast paced environment

Ability to identify and suggest process improvements and new ideas

A genuine team-player who works effectively with others and self-motivated when working autonomously

Current Driver’s License

Full works right to work in Australia

- Order Picking Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)
