The FPSR group is responsible for nation leading work in the areas of cultural rights, self-determination, treaty and truth - an extensive program of priority work with First Peoples. We recognise Victoria's First Peoples as the self-determining drivers of Aboriginal affairs in Victoria. We are committed to building ongoing, just and respectful relationships between self-determining First Peoples and the state as a priority focus.

FPSR is looking for a proven executive, a passionate leader committed to progressing the Victorian Government's nation leading work with First Peoples through their strategic leadership and high-quality public administration.

The Director will lead the Office of the Deputy Secretary and support the strategic direction of the broader Group in a dynamic, high performing and culturally safe way.

Reporting into the Deputy Secretary, First Peoples - State Relations, this role will focus on collaborating across the Group on deliverables and supporting the effective and efficient operations of the Group.

**About You**
- Strong leadership experience at a senior level that works with the team to foster a strong and collaborative team culture
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience in policy analysis and advice to inform and shape government policy and programs relevant to the Aboriginal Affairs portfolio
- Demonstrated project management and organisational skills
- Exceptional written communication skills
