**What does the position entail?**

This positions core business is driven by Business and Commercial Finance from a nationwide network. Experience in secured, unsecured business lending is essential. Working with our team for internal referrals, leveraging existing customers and external referrers, you will use your motivation, drive and relationship skills to process and manage an existing and growing portfolio as well as developing new referral sources.

There are five essential elements to success in this role: client empathy, honesty, attention to detail, strong negotiation skills and a team approach.

**Beneficial qualities and skills**
- 3+ years business lending experience or >5 years business lending experience within a bank
- Certificate IV in Finance/Mortgage Broking (preferred)
- Tertiary qualification in a related field (preferred)
- Strong business lending background
- A good team player
- Excellent sales skills
- Excellent credit knowledge
- Strong analytical and numerical skills and attention to detail
- A passion for finance and financial problem solving
- Ability to identify cross-sell opportunities
- A proactive and pre-emptive approach to processing loan submissions
- A strong appreciation for client service, client empathy, client integrity and authentic client relationships with an ability and desire to develop long standing client relationships.
- Existing business / referral relationships
