**Purpose**

The **Head of Business Planning and Performance **is responsible for ensuring CHW is “strategy-led” and

“Outcome-focused”

The position plays a key role in leading the planning and development of CHW long-term strategic direction

including the facilitation of the reporting and monitoring on overall performance against objectives of CHW’s

recently developed and Board endorsed Draft Strategy. In close collaboration with staff, this position

guides the d e v e l o p m e n t o f t h e long-term direction for CHW and encompasses the development of

the yearly Essential Services Commission Pricing Submission and the annual Corporate Plan as required by

the Minister for Water to ensure clear alignment to the Strategy.

As part of Integrated Planning, the position is responsible for leading the r e v i e w and updating the Strategic

Plan in close consultation with the Board, staff and the community. Supporting this, the position implements

an annual organisational business planning process and manages an Program Management Office and

change team - which drives strengthened project planning and delivery of key strategic priority outcomes

with the overarching focus on innovative practices.

This position supports the work of CHW to achieve all S_trategy _key outcomes.

**Key Duties/Responsibilities**

**Leadership**
- Facilitate the Implementation of CHW’s Strategic Action Areas to deliver on CHW’ s Strategic

outcomes.
- Within corporate guidelines, Lead the development, implementing and reporting on CHW Corporate Plan and

Business Plan/s (strategic financial, workforce and asset planning)
- Build a proactive team, lifting their capability to self manage the day-to-day operations of the function, providing

value-adding advice and services to our internal customers.
- Establish clear direction, set objectives, provide feedback and proactively develop the team.
- Provide strategic advice in relation to CHW’s strategic challenges, opportunities and plans.
- Embed strong strategic capability across the organisation and drive accountability for innovative and effective

practises and business improvement.
- Provide values-based leadership with a strong integrity focus in leading the team to deliver comprehensive

business performance KPI’s across the organisation
**Strategic Development and Monitoring**
- Lead the process for setting of long-term strategic direction for CHW and the organisation
- Lead the development, monitoring and reporting of the annual Corporate Planning process and

yearly ESC Pricing Submission process ensuring clear alignment with the strategy
- Key contributor to the Annual reporting process in relation to strategy and reporting.
- Monitoring, evaluating, reporting and improving on performance of the Strategy and the Organisation (Quarterly

Financial Reports, Six Monthly and annual pricing submission outcome reporting and yearly reporting) against
the set strategic direction and objectives
