**Sheriff's Officer**

Are you seeking a role that provides vital support to our legal system? Consider joining us as a Sheriff's Officer. You will provide security and customer service to court users across the CBD and suburban courts.

Full comprehensive training provided.

**Special Conditions**:

- Contracts may be offered on either a casual or part-time basis, with the salary/hourly rate adjusted accordingly.
- Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act, 1993. Terms and conditions of employment are governed by the Public Sector Act, 2009.
- May be required to work in alternate locations at the discretion of the Sheriff or due to the requirements of the courts.
- This role is identified as a Prescribed Position and the successful applicant is required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment with CAA, which must be renewed every five years before expiry.
WWCC's can be obtained through the Department of Human Services (DHS) Screening Unit.
- Appointment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate that the CAA finds satisfactory.
- As a justice agency, the CAA may receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.
- Appointees may be required to disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status.

**Remuneration**:
OPS2 ($58,709 - $63,154 per annum, adjusted to part time hours).
