**About us**

The nib Newcastle Knights are an Australian professional Rugby League Football Club based in Newcastle, New South Wales. The Knights compete in Australasia's rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership. We are owned by The Wests Group Australia, Newcastle's owned and operated (not-for-profit) membership-based organisation.

The nib Newcastle Knights has a proud history in the Hunter Valley and has forged strong ties to the community. **About the position**

Our Game Day & Events Coordinator will assist with the management and successful delivery of Newcastle Knights match days as well as the annual calendar of Club events to meet the needs of all stakeholders and set the benchmark for Australian sport and entertainment. Additionally, this role provides support to the Events & Game Day Manager and the wider commercial team in a variety of tasks where event experience is required. Duties include but will not be limited to:
**Game Day**
- Assist with the management and operational delivery of Newcastle Knights match days.
- Assist with the creation of key match day documents and planning tools including match day run sheets, event plans, accreditation, parking requirements, MC scripting, catering schedules, TVC schedules & all other sports presentation documents.
- Assist with the booking and on the day coordination of match day entertainment.
- Attend and contribute to match day meetings with the Events & Game Day Manager and relevant match day personnel including but not limited to McDonald Jones Stadium staff, security, police, ticketing staff and catering staff.

**Club Events**
- Working alongside the Events & Game Day Manager to assist with the planning and delivery of all Club events including (but not limited to) Season Launch, Member events, Junior Presentation Night, Awards Night, Corporate partner networking events and trips.
- Work closely with the Events & Game Day Manager to create and compile event run sheets to ensure the smooth running of the event and best use of talent.
- Attend all Newcastle Knights match days and other events as required that may fall outside of regular working hours.

**About you**
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role within the events industry.
- High level organisational and administrative skills, ability to prioritise multiple tasks under pressure and work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining high attention to detail.
- Experience at building and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively within and contribute to a diverse team whilst displaying flexibility and adaptability.
- Experience in a comparable role within a National Rugby League club or other professional sporting organisation is preferred but not essential.
- Professional disposition with the ability to remain focused on the task on hand.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive and enthusiastic approach
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and work-related experience.
- Current driver’s license.
