The nib Newcastle Knights are an Australian professional Rugby League Football Club based in Newcastle, New South Wales. The Knights compete in Australasia's rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership. **About the position**
The Training and Game Day Coordinator will support members of the medical team, coaches and events team to implement and deliver a range of responsibilities for training and game day operations.
- Attend training sessions for our NRL First team and selected NSW Cup teams
- Attend all NRL Games and selected NSW Cup teams.
- Order tape and Sundries for all Newcastle Knights Squads.
- Maintain stock levels for strapping and sundries equipment needed for training.
- Order and transport training equipment to all training and game venues for the NRL squad.
- Order, transport and set up hydration and strapping needs for all NRL sessions.
- Transport and clean hydration and training equipment after each training session.
- Transportation of ice and ice towels to all games and selected training sessions.
- Set up ice baths for all NRL squad at all games and selected training sessions.
- Pick up and drop off used towels to the laundry for cleaning.
- Organise training and game coverage roster for all part-time NRL sports trainers.
- Assist coaching and training staff at various training sessions as requested.
- Pack all physio, medical, training and hydration equipment for all trial and NRL games for each squad.
- Transportation of all equipment and players jumpers and games day kits for the NRL squad and selected NSW Cup teams for all trial game venues.
- Set up game day equipment for NRL and selected squads at venues (dressing sheds) ready for the teams arrival.
- Assist coaching/performance staff with team warm ups as requested.
- Carry out yellow shirt duties during game time for teams as requested.
- Deliver playing jumpers and game day kits to steward for cleaning after games.
- Pack away and maintain all remaining game day equipment for next trial game.
- Prepare sideline hydration station for training and game days.
- Attend to player and staff needs at the end of each game.
- Stock control and acquisition of sports medicine and ancillary equipment requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date list of equipment.
- Liaise with Junior Trainers Coordinators and trainers associated with all squads under the banner of the Newcastle Knights.
